A Very Large Hawksbill Turtle

We found this large hawksbill sleeping down in a depression in the coral at Mixing Bowl reef.

We saw many turtles, all hawksbills.

They were all very approachable, sometimes even curious. But that seemed to be true of most of the wildlife we encountered on these dives. Perhaps that is because the reefs around the Cayman Islands are well protected.
