This little incident was of the most entertaining of the dives. A very small shark sucker had attached itself to this initial phase female stoplight parrotfish. Neither seemed terribly comfortable with the arrangement. The parrotfish was frantic to loose the freeloader, dashing aimlessly but relentlessly around the reef, while the shark sucker was holding on for dear life. I guess they were both just doing what nature designed them to do. But it was very odd to watch and it went on the entire dive. |
