We often encountered white spotted filefish in pairs around Little Cayman. But this one was feeding alone on the top of the reef at Great Wall West, browsing from one stand of soft coral to the next. You can see from this head-on view how its protruding jaw and pointed teeth might be well engineered for feeding on these stalks. |
