The diving is so convenient in Grand Turk that we comfortably worked out of these small Carolina Skiffs. The reefs are so close to the dive shops that surface interval times were spent back at the shop, where I could deal with my cameras without the concern of a wet ride or instability of a pitching boat. The most divers we ever had in a boat was seven and that was for only one dive. Even then, because Oasis Divers handles all the heavy gear for divers, preparing for dives and the simple back-roll water entries were quick and easy. On the day we had seven divers, however, there was a bit of a traffic jam at the stern ladder. But most days we had only six - and Oasis appears to make an effort to match experience levels of divers - aboard and some days only four. That was personal service at its best. |
