We all got a chuckle that one of the dive "shops" we used in Placencia should be called "Advanced Diving." It pretty much consisted of this out-of-the-way shack and Vance, the proprietor and actual reason for the name of the shop -- adVANCEd.

But Vance's boat proved to be quite fast and he was a helpful and knowledgeable divemaster. In fact, he was among our favorites throughout the trip.
