Here's another peek at the obliging loggerhead you saw earlier in the slide show. Similar to Tres Cocos reef, Princess Maya was comprised of coral ravines running perpendicular to the shoreline. In fact, this structure was pretty typical throughout, but especially around the barrier reef at Ambergris Caye. I also tried shooting a nurse shark laying up under a coral ledge on this dive but it turned and swam away as I fired. All I got was his backside. |
