Saba Island Diving: Dutch Treasures

Ken Riddick underwater photography of Saba Island reefs and fish in the Netherlands Antilles
2004 Ken Riddick

We were not sure whether it was the time of year, the weather several tropical storms and hurricanes, including Charley, had passed below the upper Lesser Antilles or just weird coincidence but the water was filled with jelly fish of all sorts.

Each of us was stung at least once during the week but nothing serious, just annoying.

The black durgon and filefish could often be found up in the water column tearing at the jellies.

This one was shot with the extension tubes to get as close as possible.
