Actually, this was one of two groupers at Ringer's Wall reef that had been so conditioned to the divers over the years that they seemed to enjoy the interaction.

They would nudge divers for attention. And like a loyal lap puppy, they loved having their chins scratched. They would hover for minutes at a time for that kind of attention.

I wouldn't have been surprised to see them fetch.
