Isopods on a Coney

This Coney at Finbar's reef had several isopods attached to its skin. Apparently, these hitchhikers do not cause the fish harm. But I'm guessing they don't help it at the reef dating scene.

Mating pairs of isopods will spend their entire lifespan freeloading off a single host fish. I've often seen a pair of isopods, usually on Coneys, attached beneath the eyes of fish but this was the first I'd seen with several.
