We found this hawkfish near "The Theatre" at Darwin's Arch on our 3rd dive July 6. You'll notice this fish's pectoral fins seem well adapted for holding it in the lee of the heavy and variable currents. This would be my last dive at Darwin's Arch. Several others made a fourth dive this day but we had tried the previous day with some disappointment. It seemed to me that as the day got later, the water became less clear, the currents picked up and I was more exhausted. We tried to make a fourth dive the previous day at this site but quickly became separated from the group by the currents and poor visibility. We abandoned that dive after only 14 minutes and surfaced, just to be safe.
