Sharptail Eel in Burrow

We saw dozens of sharptail eels among the Bonaire reefs. They are one of the unusual eels that forage the reef in open daylight.

They are considered a snake eel and look very much like snakes. I don't know if this burrow belonged to this eel or if it took refuge here when we annoyed it.

Not much bigger than your thumb, these little guys are beautifully colored.
