We saw dozens of sharptail eels among the Bonaire reefs. They are one of the unusual eels that forage the reef in open daylight. They are considered a snake eel and look very much like snakes. I don't know if this burrow belonged to this eel or if it took refuge here when we annoyed it. Not much bigger than your thumb, these little guys are beautifully colored. |
